STANZA’s purpose is to promote sound and ethical clinical practice, education, training and research in Sandplay Therapy in the tradition of Dora Kalff as based on the theories of CG Jung.
STANZA stands for the Sandplay Therapy Association of New Zealand and Australia, which is a non-profit professional association under development for operation in Australia and New Zealand.
STANZA will become an affiliate of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy (ISST), embracing ISST’s training standards, statutes, policies and professional ethics. Its members will therefore offer their community Sandplay Therapy at an international standard. The ISST is an affiliate of the International Association for Analytical Psychology, founded around CG Jung.
STANZA’s policies will be formed by its founding Executive Committee. At this stage it is held as a corporation by the first ISST Certified Sandplay Therapist and first ISST Teaching Member in Australia and New Zealand in trust for the developing profession. STANZA will be governed by Certified Sandplay Therapists in Australia and New Zealand as soon as possible. Membership will then become available.
