This program’s primary focus is factual and theoretical material which is fundamental to Sandplay Therapy, in the following segments:
- What is Sandplay Therapy?
- Differentiating Sandplay Therapy and Sand Tray
- ‘Meeting’ Dora Kalff (personal circumstances, work and training)
- History of Sandplay Therapy
- Jungian Concepts in Sandplay Therapy
- Sandplay Collection and resources required
- How to Introduce Sandplay Therapy to children, to adolescents and to adults
- Sandplay Therapy Records, recording and review – during and after sessions
- Neurobiology Basics for the Sandplay Therapist
It also includes:
- Reading or re-reading Sandplay, a Psychotherapeutic approach to the Psyche
- Watching “Sandplay” – video with Dora Kalff
Segments can be completed in the order the participant prefers; each segment has a multiple choice questionnaire which is to ensure that the material has been covered. These assessments are generally fun!

- be able over time to establish a collection of miniatures which are suitable for Sandplay Therapy with children, adolescents and adults
- be able to easily and effectively record Sandplay Therapy sessions as they are held

Heather delights in clinical practice, seeing people heal, flourish and grow. She helps individuals discover their own inner wisdom, building strong and sustainable pathways to their unique sense of Self.
The first ANZ CST and CST-T, she has professional and clinical experience rarely available. She has held senior corporate roles, led her own educational and global consulting organisation in Australia, Europe, UK, USA and Asia, and trains in-house therapeutic teams.

Dip Law, Grad Dip Comm.M, Grad Dip Couns, M.AppPsychoth, Jungian Analyst, CG Jung Institute, Zurich, IAAP
