The STANZA Associate Membership recognises professionals who have yet to complete the requirements necessary to apply for membership as Certified Sandplay Therapist (CST).
STANZA Associate Membership includes:
- Permission to use the professional title ‘STANZA Associate Member’
- Collegiate encouragement of your professional development in Sandplay Therapy in a vibrant professional association
- 5 complimentary Members Forums each year on clinical, practice and other issues relevant to becoming a Certified Sandplay Therapist
- Priority invitation to Professional Development and Trainings offered by ISST Certified Teaching Members
- Website access to clear information and personal guidance on how to progress
Prerequisites for STANZA Associate Membership:
(A) Current Membership of:
- A professional association of Art Therapists, Counsellors, Jungian Analysts, Medical Practitioners, Mental Health Practitioners, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Social Workers, or other recognised mental health profession or pedagogy profession OR
- Licensed to practice in a mental health profession where required by any local legislation or authority
(B) Evidence of:
- A certificate of currency of professional indemnity insurance of at least $2,000,000 any one claim, $6,000,000 in the aggregate
(C) Evidence of at least one of the following training requirements:
- Having begun a Personal Sandplay Therapy Process with a STANZA/ISST CST or STANZA/ISST CST-T
- Being in supervision with a STANZA or ISST CST-T
- Having successfully submitted a symbol paper and had it approved by an ISST CST-T
- Having completed 100 theoretical training hours in Sandplay Therapy in the tradition of Dora Kalff and based on the principles of the psychology of C.G. Jung. The training needs to be offered by a STANZA or an ISST CST-T. Up to 50 of the 100 hours may be completed in online training that is live and interactive.
